Nordex

Ukrainian developer of the Seawolf, a modular multi-role unmanned surface vessel.

Nordex is a Ukrainian developer of the Seawolf, a modular unmanned surface vessel built around a standardised hull, engine and control core with a swappable mission deck. The same platform can be reconfigured for surveillance, electronic warfare, air defence, mine-laying, logistics or strike, with a reported range of over 1,600 km. A larger variant, the Seawolf Extended Platform, carries a heavier payload and is aimed at border defence and more complex tactical missions. The company says its design draws on Ukraine’s Black Sea drone-warfare experience and states a production capacity of up to 25 units per month, a manufacturer figure.

The Seawolf debuted at the DEFEA 2025 exhibition in Athens and is offered through Ukraine’s Brave1 marketplace. Reporting has noted some ambiguity over the company’s legal domicile — Nordex was listed as a Latvian exhibitor at DEFEA and appears under an alternate name in some coverage, leading observers to describe it as a likely Ukrainian-Latvian collaboration; it is distinct from the unrelated German wind-turbine maker of the same name. No specific combat engagement of a Seawolf was established in available reporting, though later coverage describes a deal to manufacture the drones in Poland. Nordex’s work sits alongside other Ukrainian sea-drone efforts such as MAC HUB and the Magura and Sea Baby programmes.
