Military Armored Company HUB (MAC HUB)

Ukrainian defence-tech group building the armed, modular Katran family of unmanned surface vessels.

Military Armored Company HUB, or MAC HUB, is a Ukrainian defence-tech group whose naval line builds the Katran family of armed, modular unmanned surface vessels. The Katran VENOM is presented as a high-speed “mothership” carrying FPV drones, small torpedoes, a machine-gun turret and MANPADS, with onboard AI for target detection. A related variant, the Katran X1.2, is configured as a drone carrier and air-defence platform: it carries FPV and interceptor drones intended to engage Shahed-type drones and cruise missiles far out at sea, a role aimed at protecting Odesa and other coastal cities.

MAC HUB is an umbrella organisation spanning several divisions — the Katran naval line, armoured vehicles, an interceptor-drone line and ground robotics — and is part of the Brave1 defence-tech cluster. Founding details and company leadership are not disclosed in open sources. The specifications and intended roles of the Katran vessels are drawn from manufacturer presentations and defence-press reporting; specific combat engagements of the USVs were not established. MAC HUB’s naval work sits alongside other Ukrainian sea-drone efforts such as Nordex and the Magura and Sea Baby programmes.
