Warp Speed
Manufacturing operating system that applies Palantir's ontology and AI to production scheduling, quality inspection, and material planning for defence and industrial manufacturers.

Warp Speed is Palantir Technologies’ operating system for manufacturing — an attempt to point the same ontology-driven software that runs its defence and intelligence work at the factory floor. Palantir announced the platform’s inaugural customer cohort in December 2024 and expanded the customer base the following March, framing it explicitly as infrastructure for scaling American defence-industrial production at a moment when the Pentagon and its suppliers are straining to build hardware faster.
The product bundles the functions a modern manufacturer juggles across separate tools into one model of the plant. It handles dynamic production scheduling, engineering change management, automated visual quality inspection, material resource planning, and optimisation of the overall production plan — all bound to a digital twin of the operation so that a disruption in one place propagates correctly through the schedule, the bill of materials, and the shop orders. Because it sits on Palantir’s ontology, the same data that drives the line is available to forecasting and prioritisation models rather than locked inside a legacy ERP system.
The launch cohort tied Warp Speed directly to the defence-technology wave Palantir is otherwise embedded in. Anduril Industries , Shield AI , L3Harris, and Panasonic Energy of North America made up the first group. Anduril was first to run Warp Speed in production, folding it into its own Arsenal manufacturing software and crediting it with a large improvement in how quickly the company could anticipate and respond to supply shortages. Palantir has positioned the platform as a lever for the broader push to rebuild Western munitions and drone-production capacity.
Warp Speed is the clearest sign of Palantir moving from analysing the battlefield to instrumenting the factories that supply it. Where the company’s defence software compresses the sensor-to-shooter loop, Warp Speed targets the slower, equally decisive loop between a design change and a finished unit rolling off the line — a bottleneck that has become a central concern for defence planners on both sides of the Atlantic.
