What the V2U is made of
26 documented parts and 27 photos, from recovered wreckage and the reporting on it. Each part gives its marking, maker and country where known, and links the record it comes from. The system itself: V2U.

Open questions
What has not been published about the V2U, and where the available evidence points: measurements from published photos, the physics, the parts its relatives carry, and the trade in the parts themselves. An indication is not a confirmation. Each one shows how it was reached; last reviewed 2026-10-23.
Also not yet established
- Camera module of the V2U: what type is it, and who makes it? — A photo or teardown record of the camera module showing a marking, a maker's label or a model name.
- Battery pack of the V2U: what type is it, and who makes it? — A photo or teardown record of the battery pack showing a marking, a maker's label or a model name.
What it runs
Firmware, navigation and link software reported for the V2U and the modules it carries, each with its source.
Onboard target recognition and selection
HUR says the drone can detect and recognise objects and lock onto a target automatically, and that it searches for and selects targets on its own. The software itself has not been published.
YOLOv5 object detection (claimed)
Serhii Beskrestnov says Russian V2U and newer Molniya drones run the YOLOv5 detector on Jetson boards (September 2026). Not confirmed by a published teardown.
Camera-based navigation (inferred)
A single GPS module and stored imagery led reporters to infer that the drone compares camera images with preloaded maps when satellite signals are jammed; HUR has not described the software.
