Chevron lobbies White House to halt Ukraine's CPC tanker drone strikes after USV hits

Published · updated

Following Ukrainian USV strikes on four Caspian Pipeline Consortium tankers — including one chartered by Chevron — the company’s CEO sought Trump administration pressure on Kyiv to stop the attacks. Chevron holds 15% of CPC and 50% of Kazakhstan’s Tengiz oilfield; the company assessed that extended pipeline disruption could force Kazakhstan to cut production and threaten multi-billion-dollar revenues. Limited CPC export capacity was already being curtailed in the aftermath of the strikes.
