Second Russian account calls Kyiv AI turrets effective against jet drones, inverting earlier engineering dismissal

Published · updated

Russian blogger barantchik — distinct from the engineering critics cited in prior coverage — reports that approximately a dozen AI-controlled anti-aircraft turrets are now on permanent duty in Kyiv and are demonstrating ‘high efficiency’ against both conventional and jet-powered drones. The same author notes that Russian developers who could replicate the capability cannot secure funding, reportedly diverted to internet-blocking projects. The two competing Russian assessments — effective intercept versus unsolved targeting problem — reflect genuine analytical uncertainty about the system’s real-world performance.
