Russian drone-specialist channel UAV Development confirms the operation used a Heavy Shot Ayudag-6 (rated payload up to 130 kg, fitted with a cargo winch). The soldier had suffered bilateral leg wounds on 14 February 2026 in the grey zone near the Oskil River and could not self-evacuate; supplies were drone-dropped every four to five days for roughly seven months. Mission planning consumed six months, followed by seven days of final preparation covering flight routes, cover corridors and abort points. Vampire reconnaissance drones were used as a decoy, drawing enemy attention while the Ayudag-6 flew a timed low-level approach — one Vampire was shot down in the diversion. The day before extraction, alpinist gear and a video tutorial were dropped to allow the soldier to self-rig to the winch cable in a seated position for the lift.
