Russian analysts outline remote-control architecture and vulnerabilities of unmanned tanks

Published · updated

Boris Rozhin (Colonel Cassad) stated in a television appearance that Russian unmanned tanks could be controlled from Moscow via fiber-optic cable, mesh radio networks or Starlink-type satellite links, characterising the existing technological base as sufficient. He cited the Rassvet platform as the enabling architecture for both drone coordination and the shift toward robotic armoured units. Separate Russian military analysis publicly examined structural vulnerabilities of unmanned tank formations, identifying communication continuity as the primary tactical weakness of the concept tested at the Tsentr-2026 exercises.
