Masked attackers burn 11 of 17 Starlink antennas at Bulgarian relay station

Published 15 October 2026

Two masked men destroyed 11 of 17 Starlink antennas at a protected ground terminal near the village of Plana in Sofia region, Bulgaria — a facility that relays satellite data to Ukraine and EU networks. Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev confirmed the sabotage and said investigation is proceeding intensively; an opposition politician alleged that security services had received advance partner warnings about potential attacks on such infrastructure but suppressed the information.
