IRGC strikes AWS and Oracle data centres in Bahrain and Dubai serving US military AI systems

IRGC forces struck an Amazon Web Services data centre in Bahrain for the second time and also struck AWS and Oracle facilities in Dubai, according to Russian analytical sources. The attacks are framed as a second wave of an Iranian campaign deliberately targeting the cloud and AI infrastructure that US Central Command relies on for intelligence processing, target selection, and strike planning — representing a shift toward treating data centres as military infrastructure rather than civilian assets. A first wave in March 2026 had also struck data centres alongside oil facilities and airbases.
