VGI-9
Makes optical target-guidance modules that lock FPV drones onto a designated target and track it to impact, day or night.
VGI-9 is a Ukrainian developer of optical target-guidance modules for FPV drones. The operator visually designates a target and the module locks on and tracks it autonomously to impact, continuing to guide the drone after the control signal is lost or jammed. The company reports an engagement range up to around 3,000 metres and an altitude up to 1,000 metres, with the ability to hold a lock on targets moving up to 80 km/h. Its products span a daytime optical module, a thermal-imaging night module that has entered serial production, and a module aimed at detecting and tracking aerial threats such as Shahed-type drones.
Rather than selling the modules on their own, VGI-9 supplies them inside fully assembled drones built with partner manufacturers. The company works in the same vision-guided FPV space as The Fourth Law and Dwarf Engineering .
