Sichen
Ukrainian long-range one-way attack drone with a reported 1,400 km reach; its producer has not been publicly identified.
Sichen (Ukrainian: Січень, “January”) is a Ukrainian long-range strike drone in the one-way attack, or kamikaze, class. Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented it publicly for the first time in April 2026, at an exhibition of domestically built weapons held in Kyiv to mark the Day of the Defence Industry Worker. The display described a system designed to hit high-value targets, critical infrastructure, and concentrations of troops at operational-tactical depth, by day or night, including in areas saturated with electronic warfare.
According to the figures shown at the exhibition, Sichen has a range of up to 1,400 kilometres, carries a 40-kilogram warhead, flies at up to 200 km/h, reaches altitudes of up to 1,500 metres, and has a maximum take-off weight of 140 kilograms. Officials cited a strike accuracy of within 20 metres and a launch-preparation time of no more than 15 minutes. The aircraft is a fixed-wing design built around a compact piston engine, in the same low-cost, mass-producible mould as Ukraine’s other deep-strike drones such as the FP-1 and the An-196 Liutyi.
The Office of the President of Ukraine has listed Sichen among the country’s long-range drones, stating it was first used in combat in 2023 — which makes the 2026 reveal a disclosure of an existing system rather than a prototype launch. Ukrainian and international reporting placed Sichen drones over the Moscow region in June 2026, alongside FP-1 strike drones, during the campaign against Russian oil refineries. The producer has not been named. No manufacturer, design bureau, or propulsion supplier was identified in the official materials or in subsequent reporting by Militarnyi, Defense Express, United24, or other outlets, and the identity of the company behind the drone remains undisclosed.
