InLab
Kyiv research-and-production company making the Franek handheld FPV-drone detector.
InLab (Intelligent Lab) is a Kyiv-based research-and-production company that builds handheld electronic-intelligence devices for Ukraine’s front line. By its own account the team’s roots are in advanced instrumentation — it cites work on the 2015 upgrade of CERN’s ALICE experiment, concentrating solar cells for satellites, and commissions for Ukroboronprom — before pivoting to defence after the full-scale invasion, under a project it calls “Eyes in the Sky” focused on detecting the small FPV drones that now dominate the battlefield.
Its flagship, Franek 3.0, is a roughly 0.4 kg pocket detector that listens across the 1.2, 3.3 and 5.8 GHz bands used by FPV video links and warns an operator on-screen, by sound and by LED when an FPV drone is transmitting nearby, at ranges up to about 3.5 km. Beyond alerting, it can intercept the drone’s analog video downlink and, with an attached screen, show the hostile pilot’s live camera feed. InLab’s catalogue also includes TinySA Ultra-based wideband UAV detectors and broadband antennas, sold through its own shop.
InLab sits within Ukraine’s fast-growing counter-FPV detection niche alongside competitors such as Stinex and BlueBird Tech , and Franek 3.0 has been listed on the state-run Brave1 marketplace. Procurement contracts, unit numbers and named leadership are not publicly disclosed.
