BlueBird Tech

Odesa full-cycle maker of FPV drones, trench and vehicle jammers, and the Chuyka FPV-video-signal detector.

BlueBird Tech is an Odesa-based Ukrainian defence-engineering firm that, by its own account, grew from a volunteer development team into a full-cycle serial manufacturer. Its catalogue spans the drone-warfare stack: FPV strike, delivery and fibre-optic drones; trench and vehicle electronic-warfare jammers; and a flagship line of FPV-video-signal detectors. The company operates within Ukraine’s Brave1 defence-technology cluster.

Its best-known product is the Chuyka detector, now in a 3.0 generation, which passively intercepts the analog video link between an enemy FPV drone and its pilot — letting troops see what the hostile operator sees and react before impact. Chuyka 3.0 sweeps the common FPV bands in seconds, reaches roughly 4 km, weighs about 450 grams, runs around eight hours, and is NATO-codified; Ukrainian outlets report it has been fielded by more than twenty units since March 2025. The complementary Hrets line provides active jamming for trenches and vehicles.

BlueBird sits in a crowded but fast-moving Ukrainian counter-FPV niche alongside detector makers such as Stinex and Babai , where rapid iteration against changing enemy frequencies is the main competitive axis; the company says its hardware can be adapted to new threats within about a month. Its 2023 founding date and named leadership are drawn from press reporting rather than the company’s own site.
