3DTech

A Ukrainian maker of the Khyzhak (Predator) REBOFF line of fiber-optic FPV drones, designed to resist Russian electronic warfare.

3DTech is a Ukrainian drone manufacturer that builds the Khyzhak (Predator) REBOFF line of fiber-optic FPV drones. Rather than a radio link, these drones are flown over a thin optical-fiber tether that carries the control and video signal as light — an approach that makes them effectively immune to the radio jamming both sides rely on along the front. Work on the design began around 2023 in response to military requests, and the drones were tested in combat in late 2024.

In 2025, 3DTech became the first Ukrainian developer to complete the Ministry of Defence’s codification procedure for a fiber-optic UAV line, clearing the Predator REBOFF drones for formal acquisition. The company offers several models with fiber spools ranging from 10 to 20 km and payloads on the order of 1-2 kg, and has said it is preparing to codify longer-range 25 km and 30 km variants. It has also shown a Predator Shooter interceptor concept armed with a multi-barrel 12-gauge weapon, pitched at destroying enemy fiber-optic FPVs.

3DTech is one of several Ukrainian FPV makers — alongside firms such as Wild Hornets and Vyriy Drone — adapting front-line drones to an electronic-warfare environment where conventional radio control is increasingly contested.

  • Khyzhak (Predator) REBOFF

A line of fiber-optic FPV drones controlled over an optical-fiber tether rather than radio, making them resistant to jamming; spool lengths from 10 to 20 km, with longer 25 and 30 km versions in development.

  • Predator Shooter

An interceptor variant in development, reported to carry a multi-barrel 12-gauge weapon intended to destroy enemy fiber-optic FPV drones.
